The showcase not only earned her acclaim but also underscored her commitment to creating safe spaces for the neurodivergent communities, in the context of landscape architecre.
Dreams come true for Hilary.
This is a dream come true for Hilary, award - winning Chartered Landscape Architect who was recently diagnosed with Autism.
She aims to raise awareness of autism in adults by showcasing a safe space for autistic adults through her terrace garden.

The Garden was inspired by the concept of a safe and tranquil space, drawing from the
"The Secret Garden"
book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, which resonated with Hilary as a child.
As an autistic adult, Hilary wanted to create a space for other autistic adults, remembering that
“If you meet one autistic individual, you’ve met one autistic individual”.
We share certain traits although the way these manifest will differ for each individual.

The show garden, titled

has been created by Hilary’s contractor, Mitch Salthouse and consultant, Gareth Wilson, who have won several prestigious RHS awards at previous shows.
